Why I won’t get any traffic?
After publishing your post you are getting the poor traffic! It is a common problem for about all the new bloggers even if you publish the hottest topic. It is because no one knows about your blog or the hottest topic you published. Even search engine won’t mind it for a while i.e, search traffic is limited. There are several ways to increase the traffic to your blog but they are effective only if you work hard.
Search engine listings
First of all you have to tell search engines about your blog and ask them to index your blog. The major search engines such as Google, Bing and Yahoo have there on algorithm to find and index new topics automatically. But you have to manually add your blog to them. At least add your blog to Google search index. You are lucky if you are a Blogger user. There is no need to add your blog to Google’s listing. Check with your blogging provider if they have built in option to add Google listings automatically. After submitting to popular search engines there will be a significant boost in your traffic. Note that it may take more than 2 days to get actual traffic. Do a search with your blog name in these search engines and look how many result you get. Alternatively search your first post or latest post heading and look if they are listed or not. Check all the pages and note down the no of the page where your heading is listed and check the same couple of days later. If you are managed to get your blog post is listed in front page, you are lucky. Another thing to remember if your blog is SEO friendly then, the chances is high. Google search engine submission and Google search engine optimization is very important.Also try to add your blog to top ten search engines.You can use paid search engine optimization(SEO) if necessary.
Still get nothing noticeable?
You have submitted your blog to popular search engines, waited for several days and still not getting the impact. It is simply because your blog is not popular to get noticed by people. The main reason is people won’t search for your blog’s name/URL or the entire title. They simply type some key words and search. Just take a couple of words from your posts heading or the main topic and search it in Google. You will get thousands of results if you scroll all the pages and your blog may not be there anywhere. Just think, how will you get much traffic through search? So the point is that you have to promote your blog just like a brand new product. Just think how you come to this blog/post? If by searching, what you searched and how many result you got and why you chose my blog? And if you are coming through a link why you clicked that link? Whatever the answer is, the fact is that I have promoted my blog? So people like you know about it.
Market your blog.
I think you are getting my point. Marketing blog is also essential as creating blog.You have to push your blog like a new product which is launched recently. You have to tell people about your product. For that you have to advertise it or showcase it where public gathers. That means marketing. How well you market your product that much sale you get. For your blog the same law applies. You can pay advertising sites about your blog and make some good traffic. But for a starting blog it is not affordable. Let us discuss the freeways.
Business and social networking sites are the biggest market
Business and Social Network Marketing is the easiest and relevant way to get more readers for your blog. It depends on your social and networking strength. Facebook play a big role in promoting your blog. Simply put a link of your latest post in Facebook, Google plus, Twitter, MySpace, LinkedIn and other social networks where you are active. You have to post the same post on same network on different timings with slightly different headings. It is because people open their social networks at different timings. Alternatively email, message about your blog /latest post to your relatives and friends. And add link, feed to your blog in your messenger/email client as signs. Create brand pages in Facebook and Google Plus and invite your friends to join. And use RSS feed /add blog option in social networking site wisely. Groups, Discussions and open forums, spice up your traffic.
Join relevant groups in Facebook, LinkedIn and share your latest/best post with good description and link. Also do valuable comments there. This definitely gives some readers for you. Don’t expect much higher. Alternatively join open discussions and forum websites and share the link of your relevant post there. Add comments on related topics along with the link to your blog. This is like playing cat and mouse game. (I have a post named getting back factory restore in dell and joined in Dells official discussion forum and created a thread about that post. Alternatively I added the same post as a comment in Window 7 discussion forum’s related topic. These two are the major source of traffic for that post.) Read others blog (If it is relevant to your topic it is better) and give genuine comments, tips, opinions along with a link to your blog. Ping sites like gambling
Another way to promote your blog is by submitting them to popular ping sites such as Technorati, Pinterest, Digg, Delicious, Stumble Upon, Reddit etc. These sites are well managed and are good for giving good traffic. Adding share buttons such as Facebook, Twitter, Stumble upon, and Google Plus will get you more readers if your existing reader shares your post. Photography and file sharing sites play a good role also.If you do multimedia blogging (rich contents such as photos/graphics/animation/videos) upload those in Multimedia sharing sites such as YouTube and Flickr. Add water mark and link to your post/blog along with them. You can submit your pictures and photos in Deviant art, Flickr, Picasa, 500px, Photobucket etc. and join on relevant groups. Submit your picture on those groups along with link to your blog. Also participate in competitions and add your best work there. If you real make some animations/ video submit them in YouTube, Vimeo, Metacafe etc. and create a brand channel there. Also you can join in different groups in Vimeo and submit your video there with a link to your blog.

Submit to famous blogging networks
Alternatively you can submit your blog/article to famous blogging networks. Some are paid and some are free. Some site offers listing of your blog while others accept only articles. Do guest blogging in well-established blogs. This will help to get more website traffic and help in building quality backlinks which is essential for high page rank. And allow others to guest blog in your blog (only if your blog is popular). Link all your Blog/sites/ social network each other.
If you have multiple blogs link them each other. Add blog roll in your side bar with recent/popular post. 
Remember your readers are the best promoters of your blog. Always deliver good article. They definitely promote your blog.
